化学物質過敏症と混同しやすい病名の１つは、
接触皮膚炎です。
例えば、化学物質が衣類に残っていて、それを着た人の
皮膚に化学物質がついて湿疹をおこしたら、
それは接触皮膚炎です。
化学物質に過敏で湿疹になるのだから、
化学物質過敏症と言いたくなりますが、
化学物質過敏症と接触皮膚炎は、
発症メカニズムがまったく違う、別の病気です。
接触皮膚炎では、皮膚に炎症が
おきますので、ステロイドが有効です。
