腸管ウイルス（エンテロウイルス属）による、ヘルパンギーナや手足口病は、子供に多い夏風邪です。
ヘルパンギーナは発熱し、口の中に水疱性の発疹ができます。
口だけでなく手足にも水疱性の発疹がでたら、手足口病です。
エンテロウイルスは、腸で増殖するウイルスという意味です。
便にウイルスが排出されますので、トイレの後は手にウイルスが付着していないように
する必要があります。ウイルスがついた手で食品に触り、
それを誰かが食べると、口からウイルスが入って感染してしまいます。
お腹の腸でウイルスが増えると、下痢となりお腹が痛み、嘔吐したりします。
医学的にはウイルス性胃腸炎であり、俗には「おなかの風邪」とも言います。
日本の家庭では、夏になると緑茶をやめて麦茶に変えることが
多いようです。
しかし緑茶にはカテキンが入っていて、風邪のウイルスに対する免疫力を高める効果があります。
お茶を飲まないと病気に負けやすくなるのです。
麦茶を飲んでもいいですが、緑茶を飲むのをやめてしまわないようにしましょう。
ただし、緑茶にはカフェインも入っていますので、麦茶のように大量には飲まない方がいいでしょう。
夏の朝はまず緑茶を飲み、麦茶はその後にするのがおすすめです。
